Right of an employer to appraise an employee.

Right of an employer to appraise an employee. It is for the employer to determine the best paced person or officer(s) in its establishment to undertake any assessment, appraisal or as may be required so as to address the performance of an employee. In Alex Wainaina Mbugua v Kenya Airways Limited [2017] eKLR. The court opined that an employer has the prerogative to appraise an employee periodically to ensure that the employee is undertaking his duties as required. Such appraisal, the method, tool or persons or officers to undertake the same are also the prerogative of the employer. Further, it is for the employer to determine the best paced person or officer(s) in its establishment to undertake any assessment, appraisal or as may be required so as to address the performance of an employee. http://kenyalaw.org/caselaw/cases/view/144048
