Duty of employer to issue a statement to employees of accessible disciplinary rules.

Employers have a duty to issue a statement to employees with set of accessible disciplinary rules. Section 12(1a) of the Employment Act states that the employer should also issue a statement of disciplinary rules or refer him to a document with a set of rules easily accessible by the employee. In Jeremiah OkothOlale v Kibos Sugar & Allied Industries Ltd [2016] eKLR . The court noted that suspension was not provided for under the law and for it to be valid then it was to be included in the statement of disciplinary rules issued by the employer under section 12 of the Employment Act.
